Description

Albert Joseph Deblaye was born in Bouzemont, France in 1874. Deblaye’s training began in the violin making town of Mirecourt until moving south to Toulouse to work under Gautier in 1897. After just three years, Deblaye moved back to Mirecourt to begin a joint-venture with H. Meunier. Deblaye soon became known as a fine copyist of the great Italian makers, Stradivari, Guarneri, and Bergonzi.
